"Magnus Opus"
Slender fingers rapped deftly back and forth the black and white keys of our age-old instrument, the melodious music flowing smoothly from the rusty machinations inside its jet-black carapace. I lay in my bed, a six year old child, eyes glazed with wonderment at the beauty of the song of our piano. Though scratch lines marred its otherwise perfectly polished surface, it was a work of art - no, not just that - a Magnum Opus of modern art. My eldest sister's long wavy hair swept across the piano as her hands began their dance across the keyboard - waltzing their way through the slow tempo; blazing through the crescendo.
10 years ago, I was enruptured by a song that my sister always plays. Yet I never found out the title of that particular song.
10 years later, and I am seated in front of the flickering screen of my Dell computer. I hear the tune of the same music, but it resonates from my Harmon / Kardon speakers, not my piano. It is the Theme of the Piano, by Michael Nyman. Yet its music is now interrupted by a dozen chat windows along my ever-present start menu.
A flash of blue, and my pupils register a critical error on my computer.
The Blue Screen of Death. My computer crashes and the serenade of the oeuvre of my long-lost childhood disappears unglamourously in a most anticlimaxal means.
Seething with insuppressible anger, I banged both fists on the dust-caked, dented piano surface.

Lol. An attempt at 2 different literary writing styles. Note the change in the style as the plot advances into a different time. There is also a lost of tradition and literary devices down the story. Can you all see the irony of it all? What does the tone of the 2nd part of the passage represent? Why does it tune down to a much more simplified version?
The second 'chapter' was hurried because its supposed to symbolise the change from the timelessness and wonder of youth to the stress of modern lifestyle
Haha i dunno this really came from my heart. Btw this passage is absolutely, 100% true.
Each time i listen to the song, I really have this sense of nostalgia. I replayed the same music file 20 times across a span of an hour and a half.
I really wish time could transport me to back then...
Talk about CNY and other stuff tmr... Gtg kayaking for odac le, packing bag now.
